Designed to meet the requirements of an exterior cabinet capable of mounting deeper 19" equipment, with additional facilities for mounting electrical metering and power distribution equipment and backup batteries.
Cabinet measures 675x350x1320mm (WDH) and is equipped with doors front and rear for best possible access. The doors open 180° and are hinged from the same side, allowing the unit to be mounted side on to walls adjacent to each other without impeding cabinet access.
19" mountings accommodate up to 20U of equipment and will accept 400mm long side rails, offering approximately 100mm in front of the frame and 500mm behind with a facility to provide mounting for electrical supply and meter and fuse boxes. Cable management is provided along the frame edge.
Space is available in the lower section of the cabinet for IPS batteries.
Ventilation and Cooling
Ventilation is via two louvred panels mounted in the lower section of the doors. The cabinets are supplied as standard with three thermostatically controlled fans in the roof to provide exhaust ventilation, typical cooling capacity approximately 80Watts per 1°C. All ventilation apertures are protected against vermin and insect access via fine mesh gauze.
Equipment Mounting (Blackboards)
Cabinets are supplied with our four post 19" rack mount frame offering up to 20U capacity and includes integral cable management features in order to help keep cabling contained. A marine ply board is also supplied fitted in the side for mounting LED switchgear, pre-treated for fire resistance to BS476 Part 7:1971.
Each cabinet door is secured with a three point locking mechanism and security lock.
Cabinet is designed for surface mounting on a prepared platform. On commissioning it is recommended the interior of the plinth is sealed with Resin Pack 6B or equivalent for maximum weather and moisture resistance.
