51A Designation Strips are designed to clip on top of a 237A/237D or 237E disconnection strip with the purpose of holding an identification label. The designation strip features a hinged label holder allowing changes to the label without disturbing the wiring beneath.

The use of these strips become more important when used at distribution points where correct strip identification is important.
