Additional Information
Defined in ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.2-10, the Cat 6a standard offers superior performance to standard Cat 6 systems by operating at frequencies of upto 500Mhz, twice that of Cat 6.

This increase in bandwidth allows the deployment & operation of 10Gbase-T networks at lengths of upto 100m, the cables performance is made possible by the additional shielding incorporated during manufacture, resulting in greater control of Alien Cross-talk in comparison to standard Cat6 UTP which exhibits high levels of AXT at these higher frequencies.
